Partner Owner, Ed Hamann, spent the majority of his 25-year career at two of the nations largest underwriters serving as Florida’s Senior Underwriting Counsel and Chief International Underwriting Counsel for Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Latin American and Caribbean market.
Ed has authored the Puerto Rico Underwriting Manuals of the two largest title insurance underwriters and has presented expert guidance to the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar on topics such as fraud, foreign ownership of land, surveys, homestead, and liens affecting title to members of the Real Property.
History
Founded in Puerto Rico by Managing Partner Jose Chipi, the Florida expansion of Title Security Group builds on a legacy of real estate expertise, which uniquely positions our team to support stateside Puerto Ricans and their residential and commercial real estate needs.
Our Florida team is led by Edward "Ed" Hamann, Esq., a native Spanish-speaking attorney who has called the Greater Orlando area home for over 40 years.
In addition to authoring the widely adopted underwriting manuals for Puerto Rico as senior underwriting counsel for one of the nation’s largest title insurance companies, Ed is a highly respected legal consultant for real estate matters across Latin America and the Caribbean.
